This notice (UNICAL departmental cutoff mark) was disseminated via the university’s website (www.unical.edu.ng) recently. In light of this great news, students who applied for admission to the University of Calabar (UNICAL) should endeavor to check the departmental cut off mark for their courses below.
If you do not know what UNICAL departmental cut off mark s are, not that they are the minimum score set by the administrators of the university for admitting students into her faculties. Is UNICAL Cut off mark for 2022/2023 out?
The answer is No. The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has not yet released her departmental cut off mark for the 2022/2023 academic session. Nevertheless, the university will definitely release it before the end of September 2021.

UNICAL JAMB cut off mark
For this year (2021), JAMB has set the general UNICAL cut off mark to be 160. In other words, before any aspirant will be allowed to take UNICAL post UTME examination, he/she must score up to 160 in JAMB UTME. However, it is important to note that it is at the discretion of UNICAL to reduce to increase the cutoff mark set for them by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

UNICAL Admission requirements for UTME candidates:
To be offered admission into the University of Calabar (UNICAL) through UTME, UNICAL doesn’t only consider the aggregate score of candidates. Below are the requirements for admission in UNICAL:
- Candidates must score up to 160 in the JAMB UTME examination.
- UTME candidates must take UNICAL 2021 post UTME screening and must pass the examination with a good score (depending on the course you applied in the university).
- Candidate must have at least five (5) credits including English and Mathematics in their O’level result.
- Candidates must make the University of Calabar their first choice when applying for admission.
- Candidates must have attained the age of 16 to be offered admission into UNICAL.
