It should be also noted by every interested applicant that the application is strictly for those who meet the required qualifications as approved by the university senate.

The application for the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has been classified into FULL-TIME, PART-TIME and LONG VACATIONS basis.

In all the basis, a student of IAUE Postgraduate school is expected to graduate with any of these awards; PGD, PDDE, PGDE, MA, MEd, MSc, & Ph.D.

IAUE Postgraduate Admission Requirements & Duration

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  1. POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD, PGDL, PGDE)
    1. First degree from any recognized University with a Pass Degree
    2. First degree from any recognized University with Third Class Degree
    3. Higher National Diploma in a related field of study
  2. MASTER’S DEGREE (MA, MA Ed, MEd, MLS, MSc. Ed)
    1. First degree from any recognized University with at least a Second Class Degree in a related field
    2. Postgraduate Diploma in a related field of study
  3. MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY (MPhil/PhD)
    1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Public Administration (MPA)
    2. Master’s degree in a related field with a CGPA less than 3.5 on a 5.0 scale
  4. DOCTORATE DEGREE (PhD)
    1. Master’s degree in a very related field with a CGPA of 3.5 and above on a 5.0 scale

MINIMUM DURATION OF THE PROGRAMMES:

  • PGD & PGDE Programmes: 12 calendar months
  • PDDE Programme: 4 Calendar months (Accelerated programme)
  • MA, MEd & MSc Programmes: 12 calendar months
  • PhD Programme: 24 calendar months, 6 semesters or 3 long vacations.

How to Apply for IAUE Postgraduate Admission Form

Candidates are to complete the registration form online after successful payment of Registration fees of N25,600.00 and Purchase of Brochure fee of N5,600.00. All fees are paid Online using either ATM Card or via Interswitch Pay Direct at any bank with invoice generated from your Registration account. Follow the Procedure below for both online payment and registration for the programmes.

  1. Visit the University website iauoe.edu.ng
  2. Click on Postgraduate School on the menu.
  3. On the Postgraduate School web page, click on Register for 2022/2023 Postgraduate Programmes.
  4. A page appears; enter the following information:
    • Full Name
    • Phone Number
    • E-mail Address
  5. Then click Register.
  6. An SMS containing your login details will be sent to you. Also, your login details will be displayed on the page for you to copy and take note.
  7. Click on login and enter your username and password sent to your phone.
  8. You will be prompted to change your password. Save your new password.
  9. From the menu on the left, dick on Fees Payment.
  10. Select Session from session dropdown.
  11. To pay for Registration Fee:
    • From Payment Description dropdown select Registration Fee (PG School)-2022/2023.
    • Click on Pay button and then dick on Generate Invoice below.
    • Confirm your invoice and click on proceed to pay.
    • You may pay with your ATM card or print out the invoice and proceed to any bank with it to pay via Interswitch Pay Direct.
  12. To pay for Brochure:
    • From Payment Description dropdown select Brochure Fee (PG School)-2022/2023.
    • Click on Pay button and then click on Generate Invoice below.
    • Confirm your invoice and click on proceed to pay.
    • You may pay with your ATM card or print out the invoice and proceed to any bank with it to pay via Interswitch Pay Direct.
  13. After successful payment of Registration and Brochure fees, login and click on Update Registration Form menu on the left.
  14. You may download the soft copy of the Brochure (from the menu on the left) for detailed information about the programmes. Hard copy is available for collection at the Postgraduate School.
  15. Update ALL FIELDS on your Registration Form (upload your passport photo and copies of your credentials) and Submit.
  16. Print out your Registration Form and Payment Receipt.
  17. Log out.

Candidates who find the online process cumbersome can go to the Admissions office at the postgraduate school to enrol manually.
