The management of Kano State University (KASU) Postgraduate School is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the KASU PG form for the 2022/2023 academic session. Candidates that are interested in applying should do so as soon as possible.
KASU Postgraduate Admission Requirements
- For every postgraduate programme in Kaduna State University, it is required that all prospective candidate must have at least Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at ‘O’ Level and must not be more than two sittings;
1. Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
Candidates for Postgraduate Diploma Programmes must hold:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree from Kano State University or any other recognized University not lower than Third Class; or
- Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) in an area not related to the field applying for may be considered; and
- Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Merit in related field of study from a Polytechnic or any recognized institution.
2. Academic Master Degree Programmes
Candidates must possess:
- First Degree of Kaduna State University or any recognized university in relevant field with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division); and
- A Candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma with a CGPA of not less than 3.50.
3. Professional Master Degree Programmes
Candidates must possess:
- First Degree of Kaduna State University or any recognized university in relevant field with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division); and
- A candidate with a Third Class Degree or HND and a Postgraduate Diploma from Kaduna State University or any recognized institution with a CGPA of not less than 3.50
4. Doctor of Philosophy Programmes
Candidates must possess:
- First Degree of Kaduna State University or any recognized university in relevant field with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division); and
- Master’s Degree of Kaduna State University or any other recognized university in the proposed field of study with minimum CGPA of 3.50.

- Click on the postgraduate admission form publication on the website
- Read through the instructions for the postgraduate admission form
- Follow the instructions therein to successfully apply for the postgraduate admission
After the time of registration, candidates who have been offered provisional admission will be required to present transcripts of their academic records as well as originals of their credentials.
